Tinkerer by choice, designer by profession

About Me

I am currently at Clara, where I am designing software that feels human — a new way of interacting with computers and information.

Prior to this, I was at Facebook, building systems for the society as a product designer. Even before that (which was a long time ago) I was at Pulse, an Apple Design Award winning news app (now acquired by LinkedIn).

I currently live in San Francisco and was born and raised in India.

Travel. Photography. Yoga. Meditation. Fitness. Biking. Fashion.

I find great joy in travel & photography. I try to travel to a new country every year. Learning about how people are different and yet the same across the world has had the most impact on my worldview and design practice.

I generally shoot with my iPhone or my Leica M 240 with a Summilux 50mm/1.4 lens. I also own a Canon 7D (which I have not used in over a year), a vintage SX-70 for polaroids and a Bessaflex for 35mm film photography. The Fuji X100 was my first digital camera.

In recent years, health & fitness have taken a more central part in my life. When not designing you are most likely to find me in on the yoga mat, at a gym or on my bike.

My desire for aesthetically beautiful things has piqued my interest in fashion & interior design. Deciding what to wear on a given day is my joy of living.
